2 day 1 night to wae rebo village Wae rebo traditional village
Wae rebo is very small and remote village in the distric of manggarai on the island of flores which is famous for the rebuildings of the traditional mbaru niang houses. The village is completely surrounded by panoramic mountains and the dense todo forest. This tropical forest is rich in vegetation, where you will find orchids, different types of ferns and hear the chearping of many song birds. In 2012 wae rebo has received the top award of excellence from UNESCO asia pacific heritage awards.
How to get there?
The only option to get to the wae rebo village from labuan bajo is by car. There is limited public transportation available, but as you can see below we provide a 2 days 1 night private tour to wae rebo.
Day 1: LABUAN BAJO – WAE REBO
- driver will pick up from hotel at 08:00 am
- from labuan bajo denge village, the last village before you trekking to wae rebo village
- on the way before you arrive at denge village, you will stop to see some view point
- driver will drop you at denge village and will waiting for you there until you comeback from wae rebo village
- you will trekking to wae rebo village with local guide/local porter
- when you arrive at wae rebo village, local people will make little ceremonial for you in local house
- they will invite you to local big house for all of people accomodation
- take rest in local guest house, drink coffee,dinner together for all guest
- sleep overnight at wae rebo village
- day 1 trip finish
Day 2: wae rebo – labuan bajo
- before breakfast at wae rebo village you will take picture in the morning to see beautiful sunrise
- after that take braekfast,drink coffee/tea
- prepare for treking back to denge village
- driver already waiting for you
- from denge village comeback to labuan bajo
- arrive in labuan bajo driver will drop off you at hotel
- day 2 trip finish
